Patient Preparation, Sample Handling and Transport

If taken for the investigation of hypoglycaemia, the patient must be hypoglycaemic (laboratory glucose reported as <2.6mmol/L) when the sample is taken. A paired sample for glucose measurement is required to be taken to confirm this (we cannot accept POCT glucose).
